About us

Screen Tasmania is the State Government agency responsible for supporting and developing the state's film, television and multimedia industries by increasing the amount of independent screen production occurring in Tasmania.

Funding and support

Screen Tasmania provides loans, grants and equity investments in the development, production and marketing of Tasmanian screen projects including short films, drama, documentaries, feature films, TV series and digital media.

Filming in Tasmania

Tasmania is Australia's island state and offers an amazing range of landscapes and production location opportunities in a compact environment. Screen Tasmania can also help with crew, accommodation, equipment, catering and most importantly, local knowledge.

Showcase

Tasmania has a rich screen history, a wealth of talented individuals and experienced production companies. Over the past decade, Screen Tasmania has supported a wide range of projects, many of which are featured here.
